Learn CAD and 3D Printing Basics By Making Your Own Bookmark
Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM (EDT)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Join library staff in our introductory Makerspace program where we will introduce students to 3D printing and using CAD design software. In this class students will use the free, online software Tinkercad to design their own 3D bookmarks. We will then print out each student’s custom designed bookmarks for them to take home. Note: the printing process takes some time, so students will pick up their 3D bookmarks beginning two days after the class at the Reference Desk.
Part of our new Hoboken Creation Space Programming:
The Hoboken Creation Space is a public
makerspace : a place where the library hopes to foster learning and creativity through education and access to tools. We will host classes and collaborative projects as well as have the space open for general use on Mondays. Our tools and classes will span a variety of technologies, arts & crafts, and cooking.
