Agile software development has been around, in one form or another, since the mid-1990’s. Since that time it has been successfully adopted by many software product organizations. Adoption by Information Technology organizations has not been that widespread. In most of the IT organizations that have begun to use “Agile”, the implementations have been limited to implementing Scrum practices on relatively small custom development projects.
Lean Business Transformation has its origins in the famous Toyota Production System. In the mid-2000’s many companies started to apply Lean concepts and tools to dramatically improve the efficient, quality and speed of all of their non-manufacturing business processes
Having seen and experienced the powerful impact that Lean Business Transformation and Agile software development practices can have on the value that IT organizations can provide to their businesses, Covenant Technology Partners, Polaris Solutions and IT Renaissance established the Lean + Agile Solution Delivery Alliance to integrate the principles, practices, processes and tools of Lean and Agile and to help IT organizations accelerate their implementation of Lean + Agile in their organizations.
We look forward to seeing you on August 19th!
