The key to a successful business does not depend on the size of your marketing budget. The Lean Startup model relies on interacting with potential customers early and often so you can incorporate feedback during the product development process. Marketing is good. Finding the right market to serve with quality marketing is better.
This seminar will help entrepreneurs understand and implement innovative techniques to drive traffic to their websites and grow their audiences.
In this session, you will learn:
- How to investigate your market
- The importance of testing your idea to a target market and gaining feedback
- How to use social media to reach potential customers as early as possible
- Effective marketing on a budget
- Anyone thinking about starting a company
- Anyone currently in the throes of launching their startup or a new product and needs guidance when it comes to marketing to their core customer

- Seasoned business leaders who would like to meet the next generation of business leaders
- The entire NH community interested in supporting, promoting, and encouraging new companies to start and stay in NH
The seminar will be followed by beer and networking from 5:00 - 7:00pm in the same room. Attendees must be 21+ to partake.

About Our Presenter:
Entrepreneur Catherine Blake, founder of Sales Protocol International, has a passion for sales, marketing, business development and a heart for encouraging others to be their personal best. Her professional expertise helps companies grow through strategic initiatives, execution, and hard work.
Blake has more than twenty years of experience with Fortune 500 companies such as EMC, GTE, IBM Corporation, plus start-ups and private ventures. Her assignments have taken her outside the United States to Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. In her tenure, her key clients have included Philips, NBC, DeBeers, Daimier-Benz, and the United States Navy.

Innovation Catalyst Seminars are held at the NH Innovation Commercialization Center at 9 Madbury Road (4th floor) located at the corner of Madbury Road and Pettee Brook Lane in Durham.
Attendees may park along Madbury Road, Pettee Brook Lane, and Main Street for $1/hour. Parking rules are enforced until 6pm.

The Innovation Catalyst Seminar Series, hosted monthly during the academic year, discusses relevant issues related to commercializing UNH’s innovations, including current and emerging best practices on campus.
