Lean In: Women, Work and the Will to Lead by Sheryl Sandberg is a book that is important for all leaders, both women and men.
A synopis of the book:
"It has been nearly 100 years since women earned the right to vote, decades since the movement known as “feminism” had the spotlight, and yet women still make less than men for comparable work, and populate the top layers of organizations in sparse numbers well below their percentage in the work force. It is time for women to learn to, and then to actually, “lean in"."
Need I say more about why this book is important?
This book lunch and learn should really be lead by a successful woman leader, so I've asked my friend and successful business owner, Susan Mealer (Answering Advantage) to be our guest reviewer.
Doors open at 11:45. Review starts at noon. Be finished by 12:45. Feel free to keep the discussion going until 1:15.
See you then. Spread the word.
