Special Notice for Broadcast Circle Members: See Leah Crocetto, Soprano with Mark Markham, Piano live at the Mondavi Center!
A winner of the 2010 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Soprano Leah Crocetto made her San Francisco Opera debut as Sister Dolcina (Suor Angelica) in our 2009 production of Puccini’s Il Trittico and appeared in 2009’s Aida and Cyrano de Bergerac and sang the role of Liù (Turandot) in 2011. A former Adler Fellow and Merola Opera Program alumna, Crocetto has worked with Riccardo Muti and the Chicago Symphony on the Verdi Requiem and was the soprano soloist in the work with Gustavo Dudamel and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.
This young soprano is now earning well-deserved raves from audiences and the press (the San Francisco Chronicle has called her both “outlandishly gifted” and “a major operatic star”).
