Please join us on Thursday, September 18 for the third presentation in the Leadership Management Council's 2014 Excellence in Leadership Series! Please make note that this event will take place at the Buffalo Campus. For a campus map, click here.

Leadership communication is the foundation for creating understanding of a business strategy.
Leaders that have the ability to articulate, clarify and inspire, fill a critical need in any organization that has set out to achieve desired strategic objectives.
This presentation will provide insights centered on the leadership communication techniques necessary to successfully manage information flow through an organization. The clear and accurate flow of information is essential when leading within a business or organization. From the understanding of basic policy to the complexity of major restructuring, consistent and effective communication provides the structure for success. Attendees will gain understanding of communication techniques that can be applied in a range of leadership situations at various levels within an organization.
The presenters of this complimentary seminar are esteemed members of Medaille College’s Leadership Management Council and well experienced in organizational development. The session, including Q&A and roundtable, focuses on the following areas:
• Levels of communication – sizing the message
• Managing the increasing speed of communication
• Creating a dialogue, not a monologue – being credible
• Building a communication plan and then making the most of it
• The unplanned opportunities to communicate or personalize a message
• Knowing when to listen and how/when to respond
• Measuring effectiveness of communication – taking feedback
• Flexibility to change the communication plan
This offering is open to all those who have an interest in exploring business/leadership topics with a goal of enhancing knowledge, skills and abilities.
“You can have brilliant ideas, but if you can't get them across, your ideas won't get you anywhere.” Lee Iacocca

This presentation is the third of four sessions in the Excellence in Leadership Series for 2014, which aims to provide continuing education and enhancement of core competencies for organizational leaders. The series is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Attendees are encouraged to register early, as space is limited.
