"L.A. Loves Alex's Lemonade"
Suzanne Goin, David Lentz and Caroline Styne were so touched by Alex's story that in 2010 they invited the nation's best chefs and mixologists as well as over 15 wineries to gather for a casual festive outdoor BBQ with tasty rustic food, music by KCRW DJ Anne Litt and a live auction to help raise funds. The event as a HUGE success! Through entrance fees and auction sales we raised $300,000 for the foundation. This year is going to be even better and we would love you to help volunteer as we could not pull something like this off without your help!!
WHEN: Saturday, September 29, 2012 at Culver Studios, Culver City, CA
We are looking for 50-60 culinary volunteers
Time will vary, we have not gotten the approval for enter time; the event is from 12-4 and the times to volunteer will be around 9ish to 5ish

WHAT IS ALEX'S LEMONADE STAND FOUNDATION? (www.alexslemonade.org)
Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) emerged from the front yard lemonade stand of cancer patient Alexandra "Alex" Scott (1996-2004) 2012 marks 12 years since 4-year-old Alex announced that she wanted to hold a lemonade stand to raise money to help find a cure for all children with cancer. Amazingly, Alex achieved her goal of raising 1 million dollars by the time she passed at age 8. To dates, ALSF, a registered 501(c)3 charity, has raised more than $35 million toward fulfilling Alex's dream of finding a cure, funding over 150 research projects nationally.
