AIDS Service Center’s and the Pasadena Public Health Department’s Andrew Escajeda Comprehensive Care Services’ Back to School 2012 event date has been set! We need volunteers to help give our client children new backpacks, school supplies and a fun and happy party to get them ready for the new school year.
The event will be Sunday, August 26, 2012 at the Pasadena Public Health Department, 1845 N. Fair Oaks Ave., Pasadena, CA 91103. The Hours of coverage we would like you folks to consider will be shifts that run from 10:30 am to 1:00 pm, 12:30 pm to 3:00 pm, or 10:00 am to 3:00 pm depending on the tasks chosen by you.
The tasks you might be most interested in are:
Assisting hair stylists (free hair cuts for the children)
Arts & Crafts
Serving food and beverages
(There may also be miscellaneous tasks that crop up during the day you might be asked to do.)
If you would like to help with set up or clean up, those hours would be 7:00 am to 11:00 am and 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm respectively.
As you can see, it is right around the corner so the soonest you can let me know if you would like to volunteer the better. I will send you a task sign up sheet.
