The 3rd Annual LBA Minority Women’s Business Conference (MWBC)
The MWBC, providing women in business the opportunity to connect with the top Women Executives from various utility and telecommunications companies – focuses on how women and minorities in business not only can meet the buyers but also successfully obtain a contract!
The Conference aims to provide a welcoming and supportive business environment for all minority groups, most particularly women. It will feature insightful discussions, panelists comprised of top women executives from major corporations and powerful presentations covering a broad range of topics – all designed to empower you, the business entrepreneur!
The LBA Minority Women’s Business Conference was formed in 2010 to encourage women to engage in fields in which they have traditionally been underepresented – namely Energy and Technology. This is the time to engage in a full day of the exciting and dynamic world of women in business!
“This is an opportunity, in our community, to do business with each other—to encourage minority women to engage in fields in which they are currently underrepresented –and connect them with contracting opportunities.” – Ruben Guerra, LBA Chairman & CEO.
Providing Inspiration and Motivation
The LBA MWBC typically features a special keynote speaker who sets the tone for the day by delivering an inspiring and motivating message. This year, the LBA proudly presents two Invited Keynote Speakers: Ms. Catherine Sandoval, the first Hispanic Commissioner for the California Public Utilities Commission; and the Hon. Wendy Gruel, Controller for the City of Los Angeles and 2013 Los Angeles Mayoral Candidate.
Empowering Your Business and Providing Networking Opportunities
The MWBC features a powerful presentation from an experienced professional who will teach you the particulars on how to present your business and go on to win the contract! The Conference includes a Continental Breakfast and Luncheon and concludes with a powerful networking opportunity to meet with other exceptional business professionals!
