The auction includes work by established contemporary artists, including Luis González-Palma, Erika Harrsch, and Sam Rodriguez. It also showcases prominent Bay Area artists including Viviana Paredes, Consuelo Jimenez-Underwood, Pablo Soto Campo Amor, Nora Raggio and Juan Carlos Quintana. This year’s group includes award recipients from the Joan Mitchell Foundation, the Ford Foundation, and the Richard Diebenkorn Teaching Fellowship, as well as artists who have exhibited at the SF MoMA, the MoMA, the Venice Biennale, the Palacio de Bellas Artes de México, the San Jose Museum of Art, and the Cantor Center for Visual Arts. These and other artists have generously donated selections from their current work, including paintings, light installations, sculpture, collage, mixed-media work, and photography, reflecting the breadth of visual arts media for which MACLA is known.
