Come to the monthly Latin America Tech Meetup in New York, where every month noted entrepreneurs, hackers and investors get together to discuss trends and opportunities in the convergence of tech startups and Latin America. 

Speakers: The July Latin America Tech Meetup will feature:

Jose Fuentes, Duolingo Founder

Jose Fuentes
Guatemalan entrepreneur co-founder of Duolingo.

Duolingo started as a project at Carnegie Mellon University, where Jose Fuentes worked as a research fellow with noted computer science professor Luis von Ahn, also a Guatemalan entrepreneur whose previous company, reCAPTCHA, was purchased by Google in 2009.  

Since then, Duolingo has grown to count with more than 25 Million users and has been able to secure US$38.3 Million in funding so far.
