Come and hang out with us at the Lucid Lounge and enjoy a cocktail while we screen short films.

Look at My Buffalo

Directed by Janet Christensen Obrien

World Premiere

A film communicating about a buffalo, being recognized, and remaining invisable. This film is about the desire to scream out. "Arn't you listening to anything I've said". "The answer most of the time is no", "I am not listening and I do not care". A story of hope, misconnections, horrible dates, and at last, the road trip to eat a buffalo.

House By the Side of the Road

Directed by Dan Schaefer

House by the Side of the Road is a film based on the writings of Mrs. L.A. Abbott and her experience living on her family’s farm in Morrison Illinois. The film discusses the Abbott family from its origin in 1847, the move of settlers west, the Underground Railroad, and the changes that would evolve on the farm as a microcosm of developments in agriculture throughout the country.

Gospel Truth

Gospel Truth is Levi Burkle’s debut as a short film writer/director. This is a dark comedy in the genre of the "hapless hero" confronting the big, bad, ugly world. Our "hero”, Eddie, a nice guy but compulsive liar, learns that his girlfriend is cheating on him with his best friend. Let’s just say what follows makes for quite the ride!
