Paving the Way, now in its eleventh year, raises critical funds for San Francisco’s most vulnerable homeless and at risk youth ages 12-24. Since 2003, this annual gala has raised over $4.5 million to benefit Larkin Street’s twenty-five housing, education, medical and job assistance programs. Your generous support of Paving the Way allows you to directly impact the lives of thousands of at risk kids who Larkin Street will serve this year and will help ensure that our homeless and in transition youth have every opportunity to pursue their dreams and a positive future. Three out of four of the youth who complete Larkin Street’s comprehensive programs exit street life.
This elegant evening begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction followed by a gourmet dinner and live auction. This year’s event theme is "Building a Sustainable Future." We invite you to join us as we honor our youth with the Going the Distance Awards, which celebrates their accomplishments and achieving their personal goals, wherever they may be on their path towards self-sufficiency.
