Course Description:

This one-and-a-half hour class will provide students with an introduction and overview of the LARE multiple choice sections. The class will focus on specific recommendations which will improve candidates understanding of the exam format and the evaluation process, as well as giving tips on how to maximize their chances of success.

Course Objectives:

To provide candidates with a clear understanding of the exam criteria and objectives, and give them critical information that will enable them to develop a successful preparation strategy for sections A, B and D of the LARE. The course will also give candidates suggestions on items to bring to the exam as well as provide recommendations on taking the exam in the most effective manner. We’ll also review a couple of the more obscure CLARB Reference Materials.

About the Instructor:

Ray Freeman, ASLA, is a registered Landscape Architect in California, Massachusetts, and North Carolina and CPESC (nationwide).  He has over 30 years experience in private practice, plus a few odd years in the public sector. Freeman is a former lecturer at Harvard, UC Berkeley, UC Davis Extension, and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has been conducting LARE Preparatory courses in Northern California for the past 15 years.
