Lansing Beer Week Presents: Reno's East 2 West Bike Ride

The first annual Lansing Beer Week will take place from August 19 to August 25, 2012. This week-long celebration will feature Michigan craft beer themed events throughout the greater Lansing area.
Lansing Beer Week Presents:
Reno's East 2 West & West 2 East - Bike Ride
Sunday August 19, 2012 - 10am - Reno's Sports Bar & Grill
This is a special Lansing Beer Week Bike Ride that will start and finish at either of the Reno's Sports Bar & Grill locations. The bike ride is 11.5 miles each way. You will ride along back roads, sidewalks and the Lansing River Trail. Your ticket includes Lansing Beer Week T-Shirt, 2 Drink Vouchers and a Bike Ride Map. Reno's will be featuring Michigan Beer and food specials on both ends of the ride. Registration starts at: 10 am at either Reno's Sports Bar & Grill location. Parking is available on site. Shuttle service is being offered by Michigan Cycling Charters to get you back to either Reno's if you prefer to bike only one-way on the route.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
There are no age requirments for the bike ride, but the rider needs to be old enough to ride the complete bike ride. Everyone must purchase a ticket to participate. You must be 21 and over with ID to receive the 2 Beer drink vouchers. If under 21, you will be given 2 non-alcoholic beverage vouchers.
What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking is available at both Reno's locations in there parking lots. Reno's East - 1310 Abbot Rd. East Lansing, MI 48823 or Reno's West - 5001 W. Saginaw, Lansing, MI 48917
Will there be any SAG support for this bike ride?
This is a self-guided and self-supported bike ride.
What if I only want to bike one way? Is there a shuttle service?
Yes. We will have "Michigan Cycling Charters" running shuttles to carry you and your bike back to the either Reno's. The cost is $15 per person w/bike. You can reserve a seat ahead of time by emailing Rick Hogle - firstname.lastname@example.org or calling: 517-614-5659 to reserve the service.
Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
Yes. The guest can also come with your ticket and present that ticket on your behalf at registration.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Yes. We will have your name on a will-call list at the registration table at either end of the bike ride at Reno's West and East. Please bring your printed ticket as a back-up.
What is the refund policy?
There are no refunds.

What happen is it rains or we have any weather related issues?
We ride in cold, hot or even rainy weather - please dress accordingly!
Suggestions for what to bring on the bike ride:
-Properly fitted helmet (strongly recommended as we will be riding on downtown streets)
-Tire pump, tire levers and spare tube.
-Cell phone, identification & medical information in case of a emergency.
-Water bottle and cage. Please bring plenty of water.
-Rack / Pack to carry things, if desired.
Before you ride - Quick Check for Bike
-Tires - Inflate tires to rated pressure listed on sidewall of tire.
-Chain - Check the chain. If the chain skips, you may need an adjustment.
-Wheel - Wheel hubs and/or quick release levers need to be tight on the bike frame.
-Inspect - Inspect the bike for loose or broken parts. Tighten or fix them before you ride.
-Ride - Take a quick ride to ensure derailleurs and brakes are working properly.
