Pinellas County is a watershed!
A watershed is an area of land that drains to water. A watershed carries water "shed" from the land after rainfall. Drop by drop, water is channeled into soils, creeks and streams, making its way to Tampa Bay or the Gulf of Mexico.
Every bit of land drains to water and everything we do on land has an impact on our water quality! Common items like trash, grass clippings & yard debris, pet waste, and fertilizer become pollution in our waters.
Visit www.PinellasCounty.org/Watershed to find out how you can help protect our waters!
