LAdobe: the Los Angeles Adobe User Group along with the Los Angeles Photoshop User Group, the Los Angeles Illustrator User Group, the LA PhoneGap User Group, the HTML5 User Group, the LA Web Professionals Group, DMA/LA, the Los Angeles InDesign User Group, the LA/Pasadena Designers' Group. SoCal WordPress and the LA-UX Meetup present Sidekick 2013 which will take place Wednesday, May 8 at 7:30pm at General Assembly on 1520 2nd Street in Santa Monica. Admission to the event is totally free and parking will be available at meters as well as various parking lots and garages in Santa Monica. We'll have this special start time in order to accommodate all of our presenters coming in directly from Downtown Los Angeles.
Sidekick is presented as a special event for the Los Angeles area Adobe Community and features presenters who are in town for the Adobe MAX conference at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center. For those of you who were unable to attend MAX, this night will offer a small taste of the conference and a wrap up of the previous week's events at the Convention Center and LA Live. For those of you who cannot afford to attend MAX due to financial or work-related conditions, this night offers a chance to hear from some of the top minds in technology while they are in the area.

But how does one compose music on a gameboy & where did the scene around partying to pulse waves start? Fil Maj is known as the PhoneGap community champion. He writes tutorials, creates screencasts, and helps organize many community events for the PhoneGap community.
Having been involved with Post Secondary education for over a decade and an active member of the international, national and local New Media Communities, Tom has jammed a lot of experience into a relatively short time frame. Nine books in seven years, a ton of speaking engagements, Adobe Community Expert, Adobe Education Leader (Post Secondary), Community MX partner and other activities are a good example of his accolades.
Claudia is a trainer, consultant, and writer in the graphic arts realm.She is the author of Real World Print Production with Adobe Creative Suite Applications (Peachpit Press, 2009) and Fearless Flash: Use Adobe InDesign CS5 and the Tools You Already Know to Create Engaging Web Documents (Adobe Press, 2010). She has also contributed to Real World QuarkXPress 7 (Peachpit Press, 2007) and Professional Design Techniques with Adobe Creative Suite 3 by Scott Citron (Peachpit Press, 2007). Claudia is a contributor to InDesign Magazine and InDesign Secrets Claudia has spoken at PePCon, the HOW Interactive Conference and AdobeMAX, and presented hundreds of seminars devoted to Adobe products for print.
