ABOUT THE SHOW: The excess of feed has brought about an epidemic in the pigsties and the pigs are devouring one another. With the decrease of sales the Company begins laying off personnel and desperation and mistrust is mounting among employees. As the employees struggle to keep their meaningless jobs, and the pigs hope for a painless death, their lives become alarmingly similar. RUN TIME: 90 minutes
ABOUT LA ZARANDA: After 34 years, La Zaranda maintains its commitment to the theater and continues its intense creative work, which has gained them an international reputation. Their plays use contemporary and extremely lively language, symbolic objects, simple and poetic plasticity, effective and concise texts and demolishing humor… the amazing production is both contemporary and timeless.
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures seeks to promote intellectual curiosity and instill in the students the understanding of self in relation to the world by the study of languages, literatures and cultures. It fosters a vibrant global environment enriched by the linguistic, literary, cultural and artistic expressions from different continents.
The department offers undergraduate students a dynamic and challenging program of study in French and Francophone Studies, Hispanic Studies, Italian Studies and Portuguese Studies, and a Master's program in Hispanic Studies.
