We're expecting over 500 L.A. women in tech entrepreneurs to an evening of high energy networking, 15 startups showcasing and a great panel led by Nanxi Liu.
Nanxi Liu is CEO of Enplug, Inc., a Los Angeles company that has built the first realtime, interactive advertising platform for the physical world. Enplug's network of AURA Social Billboards are located in high foot-traffic venues such as Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf cafes and Amoeba Music record stores. Viewers can use their Facebook, Foursquare, and Twitter apps to interact with the screen’s content.
Nanxi, 23 years old, is also a concert-pianist who has performed piano live on NBC and at TEDx. Nanxi earned a BS and BA from UC Berkeley. Nanxi currently serves as a board member of the Los Angeles Venture Association, board member of UNICEF's Chinese Children's Initiative, and youth advisory board member of Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
Founder of Anvil Capital. Invested in Enplug. Invested in Klout, Caplinked, Upout, Indinero. Prior to founding Anvil Capital, Michael spent 17 years at Goldman Sachs as managing director. He oversaw three business units in New York and San Francisco with a focus on equity derivatives, equity finance, and institutional sales. Earlier he worked on Wall Street with Kidder, Peabody building program trading systems, developing quantitative trading strategies, and trading equity derivatives. He began his career at Bell Laboratories Research in New Jersey.
Sophia’s is a founder of backCODE, a Pasadena based Technology Company dedicated to education in a game environment and serious games. She is a serial technology entrepreneur with over a decade of experience. With strong commitments to both technology business initiatives and bringing women into technology, Sophia’s life was changed when she started her first technology company in college. She was named a woman in gaming to watch and a female founder to watch by Forbes Magazine in 2013 and 2012.
Molly is the COO of RYOT, a socially conscious media agency that includes RYOT News, the first news site to link every article to an action, and RYOT Creative, a creative consultancy for cause-based storytelling. Molly previously worked at Global Philanthropy Group advising some of the worlds most high-profile individuals on their philanthropic strategy and legacy and served as a head-hunter for the Obama Administration in the The White House.
