Our featured speaker is Matt Olsen. Matt is a commercial banker that has worked for start-ups to multi-billion dollar financial institutions with experience in a broad variety of areas including Commercial Real Estate, Commercial and Industrial lending, depository banking and cash management products and services.
His current company, Boston Private Bank & Trust Company, focuses on high net-worth individuals, privately-held partnerships and businesses, and non-profit organizations by offering commercial loans, deposit accounts, cash management products, jumbo residential mortgage and investment/wealth management and trust services. The bank has recently consolidated its three West Coast Banks in Washington State, Northern and Southern California into its operations in Boston Massachusetts and now totals $6 Billion in assets.
Prior to that, Mr. Olsen was the Chief Deposit Officer for Wedbush Bank, a start-up financial institution owned by Wedbush Inc., the holding company for Wedbush Securities – the largest investment bank on the West Coast and largest trader of securities by volume on NASDAQ. Prior to joining Wedbush Bank, Mr. Olsen was the sole Cash Management Sales Officer for Alliance Bank, where he implemented and sold business online banking and remote deposit capture products for all banking prospects and clients. He began his career selling commercial, residential and consumer loans in the secondary market for Southern Pacific Bank. Mr. Olsen received a B.A. from San Jose State University
