KQED Open Newsrooms - San Francisco
Thursday, October 10, 2013 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM (PDT)
San Francisco, CA
What can KQED learn from your community?
KQED Newsroom host Thuy Vu, senior correspondent Scott Shafer and the editorial staff want to hear from you! Our Open Newsroom forums invite community leaders, newsmakers, local business owners and residents to join an open dialogue with KQED News reporters. Pitch stories, meet journalists, build a relationship with your local public media station and network with other leaders from your community. Please come prepared to give a two-minute overview of your key issue, possible solutions, and names of movers and shakers that are making change in your city.
We look forward to seeing you!
When & Where
KQED, the public media organization serving Northern California, is for everyone who wants to be more. Our television, radio, digital media and educational services change lives for the better and help individuals and communities achieve their full potential.
KQED serves the people of Northern California with a community-supported alternative to commercial media. We provide citizens with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions; convene community dialogue; bring the arts to everyone; and engage audiences to share their stories. We help students and teachers thrive in 21st century classrooms, and take people of all ages on journeys of exploration—exposing them to new people, places and ideas.
We celebrate diversity, embrace innovation, value lifelong learning and partner with those who share our passion for public service.
