Knitting 101 Class Series
WHEN: The 2nd Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. (from June-December)
WHERE: Beacon Falls Public Library
WHO: Ages 8 to Adult
Over the course of the year Knitting 101 classes will cover basic knitting skills such as reading yarn labels; reading and understanding knitting patterns; casting on; knit stitch; purl stitch; and binding off. The first project will be a washcloth.
The dates for the knitting class series are: 6/13/13, 7/11/13, 9/12/13, 10/10/13, 11/14/13, and 12/12/13.
* 1 Set of 10inch Straight Knitting Needles in Size 8 or 9 (preferably metal)
* Paper and pen to jot down a few notes
* 1 Skein or Ball of Worsted Weight 100% Cotton Yarn (such as Sugar 'n Cream or Lion Cotton). It's best to choose a light color in order to clearly see your stitches.
