King Day of Service Briefing at Urban Affairs Coalition Building
Thursday, October 4, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM (EDT)
King Day of Service Community Project
On January 21, 2013 tens of thousands of volunteers throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware will participate in the 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service, the largest King Day event in the nation.
Last winter, over 300,000 individuals were directly served by the various projects that took place. Some 116,000 meals were prepared and served to those in need; over 42,000 books were donated and prepared for distribution to underserved communities.
Each year we strive to expand the Day's impact and serve even more individuals. We hope you will join us a partner by organizing a project or event that addresses a need in your community.
To help support organizing efforts, we are hosting planning workshops where staff will provide information, technical support and facilitate connections to other participants.
If you would like to register for this briefing, please RSVP in one of the following ways:
1. Reserve a space through this invitation.
2. Send an email to email@example.com, and put "October 4/UAC" in the subject line.
3. Call the King Day of Service hotline at (215) 851-1811.
