Event Details

Kegs & Kluckers

Kegs & Kluckers is an egg-cellent event inspired by a little-known urban chicken-keeping fact: chickens love to snack on the spent grain from brewing beer. Kegs & Kluckers is the place for homebrewers and chicken keepers (and the people who love them!) to connect. This fun-filled event will include homebrews, unlimited Brooklyn Brewery drafts, delicious local fare, a raffle featuring unique and egg-citing prizes, Egg Olympic games, and a homemade Deviled Egg Competition.  The evening will be emceed by Matt Timms, producer and host of The Takedown.

Hosted at Brooklyn Brewery, Kegs & Kluckers is a July Good Beer Month event, supported by Brewnity: NYC Homebrewers United and the Good Beer Seal.

Kegs & Kluckers raises funds for Just Food's City Chicken Project, which provides the training, coops, and hens that schools and community gardens need to raise healthy chickens and delicious eggs. Chickens engage communities while increasing access to healthy food.

For more information about the Deviled Egg Competition and to enter your recipe, visit the registration page by July 1st. (space is limited so sign up early!)

Note: This event is 21+. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.
