Come out and join us for the 50th anniversary of the historic 1963 March on Washington: A New Orleans Observance and Commemoration For Access, Equity and Accountability in Education, Business Enterprise (DBE and Jobs) and Civic Engagement (Voting & Justice).
Supporters of this March include: UTNO, NAACP, Urban League of Greater New Orleans, Safe Streets, The Jeremiah Group, Orleans Public Education Network, AFL-CIO and the building Trades, Greater New Orleans Contractors, Churches Supporting Churches, Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance, The Collaborative, The Justice and Accountability Center of Louisiana, and many more community partners and residents.
The march starts at Ashe Cultural Arts Center(1712 Oretha Castle Haley) and ends at the MLK monuments on Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. & S. Claiborne Ave. at Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. Immediately following is the Rally at Israelite Baptist Church, 2100 Martin Luther King Blvd.
