Kayak: Lake Natoma, Saturday, August 22, 2009
Saturday, August 22, 2009 at 9:30 AM (PDT)
Come join us for a Saturday morning paddle on Lake Natoma!
All level of paddlers are invited. If you have been thinking about taking up kayaking this is your chance to try it out. We will be meeting at Lake Natoma near the Aquatic Center, so if you do not have a boat, you can come a little early and rent one for a few hours for about $8 to $10 per hour.
Game Plan for Saturday, August 22, 2009:
9:30 am: Meet at Natoma near Hwy 50 and Hazel behind the CSUS Aquatic Center. There is a boat ramp there and we gather there first and then be on the water by around 10 a.m. and will paddle up toward Negro Bar.
We will have a leisurely paddle up the river and then either pull out up at Willow Creek Park or return to the park at Lake Natoma to have lunch, swim or fish or hang out and enjoy the warm summer morning!! We will pull out between 1 and 2 p.m. or so.
Things to Bring:
Kayak, Paddle, PFD (life Vest - mandatory)
Sunscreen, Sun Glasses, Lip Balm
Water, Drinks, lunch or a snack to share (plan to pack on kayak)
Bathing Suit (for the fearless – water might be a bit cold)
