Kate & Corey at Red Light Café, Atlanta, GAKate Shaffer and Corey Coleman are a Bluesy Americana duo that have quickly made a big name for themselves. In the last two years, they have gone from playing on the street in downtown Buffalo, NY, making 300 dollars a month, to appearing at the famed Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN as one of five National finalists in the Texaco Country Showdown, an honor shared by the likes of Martina McBride, Garth Brooks, Brad Paisley and many other well-known artists. They have also spent the last year playing up to 6 times a week, at venues like the Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, and Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, for a special VIP reception for Brad Paisley and Rascal Flatts.

In September 2012, the duo moved to Georgia to follow their bliss. Time on the road and living out of a car enabled them to enhance the robust sounds of the simple setup of two acoustic guitars and two distinct voices. That sound is a result of the guitars and voices communicating the dynamics of their distinctively different backgrounds.

Growing up, Kate listened to country, while Corey listened to jazz and the blues. The inspirations of Patsy Cline, The Dixie Chicks, Miles Davis and Bob Dylan are quite apparent in their Bluesy Americana style. Corey’s exceptional method of hand percussion relies on striking both fretted strings and carefully chosen parts of the guitar with an attack that creates a dose of eclectic flavors. Kate's extremely wide vocal range allows the duo to offer a wide variety of sound from different genres. Together, the well-seasoned duo brings great attitudes and excellent music in the recently released CD, You’re Gonna Like Us, which serves up 11 jaw-dropping tunes.

Award-winning Kate and Corey, walked away with the Northeast Regional Title, as well as an all-expense paid trip to the National Final of the 31st Annual Texaco Country Showdown in Nashville, Tennessee, on January 2013.  Before advancing to the state level, Kate & Corey won their local competition representing WQRS in Olean/Salamanca, NY. In 2013, they were proud to be named one of five elite groups hailed as the "Best New Acts In Country Music".

In 2013 Kate and Corey were nominated by the Georgia Music Awards in the "Best Americana/Bluegrass" category, as well as "Duo/Group/Band of the Year" by the Georgia Country Awards. They also had their first, and successful, Southeast Tour in the Fall playing in Nashville, TN, Charlotte, NC,  Jacksonville, FL, Birmingham, AL, and everywhere in between!

2014 is bringing Kate and Corey new opportunities and adventures; the duo has already had their first tour in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands and had a packed home-coming show in Buffalo, NY before reaching March. Kate and Corey have Living Room Concerts, opening gigs, a second album, and a tour of their own in the works for the year to come... STAY TUNED!

Lindsay Jarman at Red Light Café, Atlanta, GALindsay Jarman was born, raised and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. She calls her music indie/folk with jazz and blues influences. Relatively new to the southeast music scene, she was a finalist in the Eddie’s Attic 2013 Singer / Songwriter contest – an event with about 500 contestants that was previously won by John Mayer and Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles before their careers skyrocketed.

Unlike most artists who cut their teeth learning and performing cover songs, Lindsay began writing right out of the gun before she covered any songs. She is a naturally born songwriter and her work continues to grow.

Her band features Alex Wolf on lead guitar, Danny Silvestri on bass, Chris Mont on drums, Brianna Sotilo on harmony vocals and Brendan McMackin on harmonica.

Chris Weinholtz at Red Light Café, Atlanta, GABorn and raised in Buffalo, NY, now living in Atlanta, GA, Chris Weinholtz’ music has a decidedly southern feel. Influenced by artists such as Joe Cocker, The Band, Little Feat, and The Allman Brothers, his new EP Distance combines these influences and many more on songs that range from gospel rock on "A Woman Like You" to quieter introspection on "Just Ain't Enough".

Chris got his start by playing open mics in local bars. He then began to play in various local bands and won a Buffalo Music Award for Best Country Guitarist before moving to Atlanta. He has performed with or opened for artists including Johnny Winter, Artemis Pyle, and Gretchen Wilson.
