Just Yell Fire™ Self-Defense Class for Teen Girls Age 11 - 19
Here's what your Just Yell Fire™ Self-Defense Class for Teen Girls includes:
The Just Yell Fire™ program (www.justyellfire.org) teaches teen girls and young women how to fight back against predators and sexual assault. This award winning national program was conceived by teenager and safety activist Dallas Jessup. Revved Up Kids Co-Founder Allison Neal is one of two trainers in Georgia certified to teach this program.
Structure of the Just Yell Fire™ Self-Defense Class
Revved Up Kids offers Just Yell Fire™ training as a single session (approximately 2 1/2 hours in length).
Discussion of the dangers faced by teen girls from strangers, acquaintances and dating partners.**
Discussion of the choices teen girls occasionally make that can cause their safety to be compromised.**
Video based scenario training that shows teen girls in various attack scenarios and teaches them appropriate injure/escape tactics.
Physical self-defense training that includes simple, intuitive techniques that can be used effectively on a much larger, stronger attacker.
All participants will receive a copy of the Just Yell Fire™ training video (DVD or web download) and a take home resource packet so that training can be continued at home.
**IMPORTANT NOTE FOR PARENTS: This class includes frank discussions about drug and alcohol use, date rape and violence against women. Some of the information presented is graphic in nature, and parents of pre-teens should consider this before enrolling their daughters in the class.
Directions:Class will be held in Bldg A on Second Floor room 250. Directions to building, once on Hwy 92 look for Neese Rd and turn onto it. Take the second driveway it should be between the main bldg and bldg A. There is a parking lot in front of Bldg A. Come into Bldg A atrium take a right and look for the elevator and take up to second floor, go down the first corador on the right and Room 250 should be on the right.
