Junior Ranger Adventures
Saturday, September 22, 10am-12:30pm
Heil Valley Ranch - 1188 Geer Canyon Rd.
Hey kids! Are you ready to be adventurous and get outdoors? Join Boulder County Parks and Open Space Rangers for a day of fun as you become a Junior Ranger! Learn how to be prepared for all the surprises the great outdoors can throw your way.
Your day of adventure will include learning what to pack for a hike, creating your own first aid kit, bike safety tips, and how to stay safe when the storms roll in and the wildlife howls. And for a special challenge, learn how to fight wildfires by completing a relay race with Boulder County’s own Wildland Fire Crew! After you complete all your outdoor challenges, you will receive the title of Junior Ranger!
Junior Ranger Adventure Day is perfect for kids aged 6-12, but all family members are welcome. A parent or guardian must be present. Pre-registration is required.
Be prepared and bring water, sunscreen, snacks and hiking shoes. Also, bring your bike if you have one. Feel free to stay afterward and have a picnic at this scenic park.
If you have questions, contact Ranger Erin O’Leary at 720-352-7041 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
