Moondog Farm is a collaboration between DHA, Queen Anne Inn, Mercury Cafe and Produce Denver. Mercury Café grows herbs and fruit for the restaurant, Produce Denver grows food for restaurants and Queen Anne uses the produce for breakfasts and for the Five Points Fermentation Company.
This is gonna be fun! We'll be helping out Produce Denver by planting, weeding, suckering tomatoes, trellising tomatoes, planting flowers, mulching, etc. Some serious gardening action goin' down, people!
With any luck, we'll learn a little about that handcrafted fermentation business as well, perhaps even come to understand why Milan Doshi insists that 'Lactic acid is a gift from God'!
Supervised children are more than welcome (this will be a really good mob for the kids due to the wide variety of tasks and the educational component!), but NO DOGS allowed at this one, folks! Sorry about that!
As usual, bring your water bottles, your sunscreen, your gardening gloves. Moondog farms will provide all tools and materials.
