March Workshop: Structuring Your Company the Right Way!
- Business & Professional
- Hall and Company, Irvine CA
Innovate and Get Ahead of the Competition
This TCVN workshop will discuss rapid product development on a limited budget. Incorporating creativity, technology, and design methodologies in ways that get a product to early adopters for initial feedback is critical to the success of start-ups. Having a prototype in front of reference able potential customers, is make-or-break for a startup, whether going out for external funding or for boot-strap product development. We will talk about turning creative ideas into reality, getting free outside help for that product development, writing invention disclosures to keep down the cost of provisional patent applications, and design methodologies appropriate for inexpensive, rapid prototype development. We will also discuss how and what engineering co-founders should talk about with potential co-founders, investors, and customers.
Speaker: Gene Alexander, PhD
Gene Alexander, PhD, is currently a consulting engineer and in pre-startup discovery phase. Most recently, Gene was VP & GM for Motion Analysis Corporation, an entertainment technology company and the acquirer of Gene's previous startup, MaMoCa. Imaging Therapeutics was subsequently acquired by Conformis and has multiple FDA approved products on the market.
