The fifth annual Father's Day Big Band Dance featuring Clark Krueger’s Extreme Decibel Big Band will be held in The Scottsdale Plaza Resort Grand Ballroom on Sunday, June 16, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. The dance is a fundraiser to support the youth jazz education programs of Jazz in AZ and The Nash, the new nonprofit education and performance center of Jazz in AZ in downtown Phoenix. Once again, the dance is being held in honor of John Dawson for his continued generous support of jazz.
Doors open at 2:30 PM. Join in a Swing Dance Lesson at 3 PM with Steve Conrad, AZ Lindy Hop Society.
The band will play an exciting repertoire for both listening and dancing. There will be guest vocalists, as well as exemplary student musicians sitting in with the band. There will be complimentary salsa and chips, with full cash bar and special appetizers available for purchase.
