Spice up your life and your cocktails with bitters using aromatic herbs, roots and bark found at Oaktown Spice Shop with Western Clinical Herbalist Kara Sigler.
This class is hands-on with recipes and a take-home sample to inspire your taste buds.
The price includes teaching, handouts, supplies and a take-home bitters formula.
About Oaktown Spice Shop: Oaktown Spice Shop is the Bay Area's one-stop shop for fresh, high-quality culinary herbs, spices, extracts, salts and hand-mixed blends. We offer whole and freshly ground spices in sizes ranging from a half-ounce and up.
About Kara Sigler: Kara is certified by the Ohlone School of Herbal Studies in Berkeley as a Clinical Herbalist. She has completed a three-year clinical training program at the Ohlone Center as well as a one-year apprenticeship program through Motherland Herbal School in Willits.
Kara currently sees clients on an individual basis in the San Francisco Bay Area. She co-teaches the first year Apprenticeship program at the Ohlone School of Herbal Studies, as well as leading herb walks, wildcrafting trips, and other short-term classes. Kara has worked as a lab technician making herbal medicine at KW Botanicals in San Anselmo.

Jessica Rollison is the Owner and "Churner-in-Chief" at Bootleg Creamery, a small-batch ice cream company based in Berkeley. Jessica loves dreaming up new flavors to sell in the online Pint Shop-- you can find new ones every week! She lives in Berkeley with her husband, Curt, and their French Bulldog, Beans.
