"The Effects of Complex Trauma in Infants and Young Children"
This Seminar will address the provision of, or referral for, trauma sensitive therapeutic interventions for infants, young children, and their caregivers. Evidence-based, trauma-sensitive interventions will be discussed. Special attention will be given to the experiences of young children who enter the child welfare system in response to their exposure to trauma. This seminar will also cover the signs, symptoms, and consequences of trauma in infants, young children, and their caregivers.
This seminar is intended for all members of the Network for Overcoming Violence and Abuse (NOVA) - a local project of the Defending Childhood Initiative. Information provided will be useful to agency administrators as well as direct service personnel.
