Julie's Bat Mitzvah will be at Congregation Beth Shalom at 5303 Winters Chapel Road in Dunwoody, GA 30360
The service start at 9:30AM. While the service starts at 9:30AM. It is acceptable to come as late as 10:00AM shortly before Julie starts leads the service.
What should I expect at the Service?
Our Saturday morning service is 2 1/2 hours long. Congregation Beth Shalom is a Conservative Synagogue. The dress is typically business-style suits for men and boys and dresses for women and girls. Men are required a head covering, which will be provided at the synagogue. The service is about 75% in Hebrew and uses traditional tunes.
Some special parts that Julie will be leading are the Torah Service, where Julie will be delivering a D'var Torah and will be reading the Torah and her Haftorah for the first time. Julie will receive a special Bat Mitzvah blessing and presentation from Rabbi Zimmerman, her parents and the CBS Board after which she will lead the Musaf Service.
The service will be followed by a Shabbat lunch or Kiddush at about 12PM.
Where and when is the night-time celebration?
The celebration will continue at the Atlanta Hilton Northeast in Norcross from 7PM-11PM
The address of the Hilton is: 5993 Peachtree Industrial Blvd., Norcross, Georgia, 30092, and is just 5 miles from Congregation Beth Shalom. Dress is semi-formal.
The celebration will start with an hors d'oeuvre hour, followed by dinner and dancing in the Hilton's main ballroom.
I want to stay overnight at the Hilton. Do you have a special rate?
We have negotiated a special group rate of $75 per night for Julie's Bat Mitzvah at Hilton for Friday, May 3rd and Saturday, May 4th.

I am coming from out of town. Is there anything special I should know?
The celebration for those coming out of town will start on Friday evening and end on Sunday morning.
The celebration starts with Friday Night Services at Congregation Beth Shalom at 6:15PM. The service is about 1 hour in duration. Dress is "business casual".
We are having Friday Night Dinner at Mazzy' in Norcross, which about 3 mile from Congregation Beth Shalom, from 7:30PM to 9:30PM. Address for Mazzy's: 7160 Jimmy Carter Blvd Norcross,GA 30092
We will be having Sunday Brunch at the Hilton on Sunday morning from 10AM - 12PM in a Special Event Room.
