Creating and Holding Clear Agreements and Understandings: When to be a Parent and When to be a Friend
Our teens see us, watch us, judge us, and once in a while listen to us! Join us as we "tune up" our relationships and boundaries with them. Find out when and how to negotiate, when and how to stand firm, and when to "let it go."
Monday, May 14 – Rick Concoff, MA
Our Roles as Parents: When to be an Advocate, When to Step Back, and When to Get Help
Our teens are on the final leg of a journey towards making independent decisions as emerging young adults. We will discuss how to allow them to navigate their own relationships with other adults in their lives (teachers, employers, coaches) by looking at when to step back, when to step in and get involved, and when and how to get help if needed.
