You’re invited to a free workshop: Health Information on the Web this Wednesday evening at Texarkana Public Library.
This workshop will be taught by Destiny Carter, Director of UAMS’s medical library and there are two sessions from which to choose.
Wednesday August 13th, 5:00-7:00pm
Wednesday August 27th, 5:00-7:00pm
Bring a laptop or mobile device if you have them handy. Otherwise, the library can provide a limited number of laptops for hands-on instruction.
Most importantly, bring your questions for Destiny to answer!

Texarkana Public Library
The Texarkana Public Library is located at 600 W. Third St., Texarkana, AR-TX. The Texarkana Public Library provides free services to all residents living within the city limits of Texarkana, Arkansas and Texarkana, Texas. Services are available to citizens outside the city limits for a fee.
The library has over 100,000 materials available for check-out that include books, compact discs, videos, Dvds, digital audio books, magazines and downloadable audio books.
In addition to these items, thousands of people enter the library to utilize print and electronic reference resources, access the Internet, checkout a laptop in house, enjoy free Wi-Fi service,make copies, send a fax, participate in computer and Internet training, or attend one of the Library’s events.
