Your day will start off with an admissions presentation followed by a tour of the Culinary campus. You will see classroom buildings, residence halls, dining halls, and other academic and social points of interest. **Please carpool, if possible, due to limited parking. (You may enjoy lunch in the "Red Sauce" at 11:00 am but cost is not included with tour).
This is a walking tour of the campus and this includes a four story building. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended! Please dress appropriately for the weather. The tour will go on regardless of weather and be prepared for snow or rain if it is in the forecast.
Programs offered by Johnson & Wales (Culinary Arts) are:
Associates Degree: Baking & Pastry Arts
Bachelor’s Degree: Baking & Pastry Arts, Culinary and Food Service Management, Culinary Nutrition, Food Services Entrepreneurshop, Baking & Pastry Arts and Food Service Management
Accelerated Programs: if you already have some industrial experience, you can get your associate degree in 12 months through our Advanced Standing Program.
Garnish Your Degree: if you have your Bachelor’s degree, this program will teach you the fundamentals, principles and techniques of culinary arts or baking and pastry arts, enabling you to earn an associate degree in just 12 months
Freshman Advanced Study Track (FAST) IF you’re enrolled in a high school or tech-prep culinary arts program, your completed academic credits may apply to JWU classes, provided your program has an agreements with JWU.

from Hartford & points west Take Route 6 East to the Route 295 South on-ramp inRhode Island. At the end of the on-ramp to Route 295, stay to the right and take Exit 6A (Route 6 East,Providence). Follow for four miles to Route 10 South (Cranston) exit. Follow Route 10 South to the end to Route 12 East. Take a left onto Route 12 East, then follow "From Route 12 East" directions below.
from I-195 west (cape cod) Connect with Interstate 95 South inRhode Island (you will bypass Exit 1 off I-195 West inRhode Island), then follow "From I-95 South" directions below.
from I-95 south Take Interstate 95 South to Exit 16 (Route 10). Follow off-ramp to thePark Avenue exit. Follow the expressway to the end. Take left onto Route 12 East (Park Avenue), then follow "From Route 12 East" directions below.
from I-95 north Take Interstate 95 North to Exit 16 (Route 10,Cranston). When exiting, bear right at the fork (toElmwood Avenue) and follow exit ramp to the bottom. At light, bear right ontoElmwood Avenue (Route 1 South). At the next light, take left ontoPark Avenue (Route 12 East), then follow "From Route 12 East" directions below.
From Route 12 EastFollow Route 12 East for approximately one mile. At the light at the intersection of Route 12 and Warwick Avenue (Route 1A), take a left. Follow Warwick Avenue to the second traffic light and proceed across the intersection onto Norwood Avenue. Sovereign Bank will be on your left. Follow Norwood Avenue to the traffic light and take a left onto Narragansett Boulevard. Follow Narragansett Boulevard to the next traffic light. Take a right onto Harborside Boulevard. The Grace Welcome Center is the first building on the right.

We partner with three schools: Taunton High School, Bristol County Agricultural High School and Taunton Alternative High Schooll and provide Mentors from businesses in the Taunton area, for students at all threee schools.
The tours on this web site are set up to provide our Mentor/Mentee partnerships an opportunity to visit universities, colleges or different businesses, so that students can get a better understanding of the opportunities available to them and to reinforce the importance of school responsibilites. They also help to serve as an illustration of the skills and habits that businesses require of employees. All this helps to better prepare students for the next steps in their lives.
