The students of the Joffrey Academy have the opportunity to take part in an Art Exploration as a way to connect dance with art. Several artists have made dance the subject of their works and our students will explore the museum together in a group setting.
When:Sunday March 3, 12:45pm
Where: Meet for orientation at Columbus Drive entrance of the Art Institute (http://www.artic.edu/visit/directions-and-parking) Parents are welcome to drop students off with the Joffrey Parent Volunteers. Please make sure your child has eaten lunch, no food or drink is permitted in the museum.
Schedule: Students should arrive at 12:45; Exploration will begin at 1:00 and last about 2 hours, including orientation, moving around the museum and wrap up.
Help: Adult Volunteers will be needed as chaperones (Click here to sign up, chaperone spots are limited). Parents are welcome to attend the event at a discounted price of $20. Please rsvp no later than Wednesday February 26.

Joffrey Academy of Dance
Located in the heart of Chicago’s theater district, the 20,000 square foot Exelon Education Center, which is home to the Academy, boasts four state-of-the-art studios in the new Joffrey Tower.
