If you are out of work or looking for a new position this workshop will provide you with the current trends and techniques of resume writing and interviewing to help you stand out in your interviews.
At this year’s workshop there will be two facilitated panels of working human resource and recruiting professionals who will take and answer your questions relating to interviewing, favored resume formats, how employers screen your resume, current hot interview questions and more.
Back by popular demand from last year, in the afternoon after the Bridges to Jobs hosted and provided networking lunch, workshop participants will be walked through an interview demonstration with tips and techniques on how to answer questions, use proper body language, use a portfolio and more in order to help you stand out in the crowded interview process.
In addition, resumes will again be reviewed by a cadre of qualified reviewers. These 20 minute reviews are by reservation only that can be reserved at time of registration. Bring a completed resume and job description. No resumes will be written or rewritten. This is a review only with suggestions to improve format and employer searchability based upon a format that Bridges to Jobs has found to be helping our members in their job search.
In order to preserve the one-on-one feel of the workshop seating is limited to the first 100 registered participants here or at the door on the day of the event. Admission is $11.00 and includes a lunch hosted and provided by Bridges to Jobs.
A limited number of scholarships tickets for the registration fee are available for those in genuine financial need as we do not want anyone to miss what can be gained in this workshop due to financial hardship.
There are also a limited number of no charge partner tickets for those who want to bring their spouse, significant other, partner or a friend who is supporting you through this difficult job search process.
