Singer, songwriter Jessica Johnson is authentic and true. Her music ranges from Jazz standards, to well-known R&B classics. Her original music is a fusion of Jazz, R&B, funk, and Pop. From the moment Johnson walks on stage, her audience is held in the palm of her hand. With her rich sultry voice, she scats, swings, and melts your heart, leaving you yearning for more.
By age 12 Johnson began singing the National Anthem for the San Jose Sharks, which eventually parlayed into singing the Anthem for every notable professional sports organization on the West Coast. Jessica was a featured artist several times at San Jose Jazz Festival, as well as a countless list of venues across the West Coast. Jessica has released her debut album "Till it Happens to You", a collection of jazz standards & contemporary songs arranged with an intriguing original jazz twist.
Garrett Wheeler, Metro Newspaper says hometown diva, Jessica Johnson, a young jazz singer who has continued to amaze listeners across the state. Johnson's vibrant blend of classic jazz, R&B, and soul is displayed with the sparkling vitality of inherent talent in her case, vocal palette as dynamic as you're likely to find in contemporary jazz. Of course, Johnson is more than comfortable issuing any number of pop-hits audience members (like myself) may enjoy, particularly an amazing cover of Alicia Keys' "No One.'
