Event Details

Come and join in the Java 7 Launch Party in Edinburgh!

As members of the Java community, we all helped build Java 7 (according to the launch info).  Now, it's time to celebrate.  Java 7 launches with a live event July 7th featuring celebrations and speakers but, due to various conflicts, we will be celebrating on th 13th on the familiar Wednesday evening.

Come and join us welcome in the long awaited new age of Java. We plan some presntations and hacking around the new features and possibly watching highlights of the live web event the week before.

So what are you waiting for, come along to what might be tbe biggest software related party in Appleton Tower this month!

Meeting from 6:30pm in Room 6.01, Appleton Tower, Crichton Street. As always look for the signs and call if the door is locked (basement entrance only during the summer).

Java User Group Scotland

UK JUGS is the Java User Group Scotland largely located in Edinburgh, the capital city of Scotland.
Our group is free to join and is composed of software engineers, computer science students and interested others.
The primary aim is to promote the adoption and understanding of Java and related technologies.
We hold monthly meetings, usually talk/presentation driven meetings but sometimes purely social events to discuss a variety of Java related topics and technologies. Through regular meetings and our mailing list UK JUGS members can learn and stay up to date with Java, JVM and related technologies and network with the Scottish Java community.
