Jason Del Grande's Mr. Marina Fundraising Page
On January 18th @ 10am, you can purchase tickets to Mr. Marina 2013 in support of Jason Del Grande HERE.
Not many San Francisco locals can claim to be native, but I was born in the Sunset District and my SF history runs deep. I come from an old school, Italian family. Have you ever been to the Swan Oyster Depot on Polk Street? That’s us! Niners fans? My great uncle Pete was on the first 49ers team in 1946. And to round off the Italian cliché, my grandfather used to own New Columbus Superette in North Beach. It’s because of this grandfather that I pledge my support to slapping blood cancer. Leukemia beat him, so fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is very near to my heart. I’d be honored to represent the fight against blood cancers as the next Mr. Marina.
While my family, College at USC and work have all tried to pull me out of San Francisco, I found my way back and settled…where else…but right here in the Marina! I live on Fillmore between Lombard & Chestnut. You can just
imagine what the parking situation is like for me! I can relate to all the pain and suffering that goes along with being a Marina-ite. But I also relate to all of the joys. You can see the Golden Gate Bridge from my bedroom and kitchen. I have the craziest parties for Fight Night’s which my neighbors love!!! More Importantly I have an awesome group of friends who will be pulling for #TeamJDG. Together, we’re ready to Slap Cancer.
Don't miss out on your #TeamJDG T-shirt to show your support at the event:
Slap Cancer was initially a campaign started by Brianna Haag in 2012 and now consists of a group of young professionals in San Francisco who fundraise on behalf of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. All ticket sales and dollars raised through The Mr. Marina Competition goes directly to the Greater Bay Area Chapter of LLS.
