San Francisco is an amazing city with equally amazing districts that offer unique and authentic cuisine. Today, we'll explore Japan Town and discover more than just sushi.
Ramen - An iconic dish that is satisfying and comforting. We'll have a discussion about noodles, soup bases and the host of ingredients from butter to corn that make this dish sing.
Tonkatsu - Pork is carefully prepared then coated with Panko and fried until GBD (restaurant lingo for Golden Brown and Delicious).
Okinomiyaki - Mix together veggies, savory pancake batter, meat (read Bacon) and whatever else you can imagine. Fry until crisp then coat with a salty sweet sauce with a bit of mayo and you're in for a taste explosion.
Chicken Curry - Japanese curry may be much different than what you may be use too, but this and a bowl of rice may just be one of the best combinations ever.
Daikon Salad - As with all radishes, this dish may get a bit spicy dependent upon the ingredients, but the crunchy texture is an immediate draw. On a hot day, this salad is very refreshing.
