Jackie Bristow was chosen by the legendary Bonnie Raitt as her opening act on the New Zealand Slipstream tour 2013. Bristow returns to the USA to tour California with Mark Punch on guitar.
A young girl and her guitar, Bristow left Southland New Zealand and set out to become an international recording artist. Her wildest dreams have come true. She just completed a national tour of New Zealand opening for Bonnie Raitt, a major highlight of Jackies career. Jackie travels the world like a rolling stone, on planes or highways making her way to centre stage. She currently lives and tours in the United States. The past two years have been momentous for Bristow who has the talent, determination and drive of a Kiwi pioneer.
Bristow has opened for international stars ( Tommy Emmanuel, Marc Cohn, John Oates, John Waite, Bettye Lavette, B.J Thomas, Joe Ely, Marcia Ball, Charlie Robison, Rick Springfield, Bob Schneider, Jimmy Lafave, Euge Groove, Ruthie Foster and Howard Jones)
In the sweltering summer of 2012 Bristow packed her car and hit the road on a three month U.S. road trip. She drove across the desert highways of Texas, New Mexico, Arizona and California, then back to Austin and the plains of West Texas. Bristow has become something of a "Kiwi Road Warrior!"
The sweet smell of the New Zealand air and home drew Bristow back for an unforgettable summer tour. Jackie writes from the heart. Her love of Aotearoa shines through her songs and she sings of life, loss, love and war.
Bristows songs are featured in New Zealand and Australian film and television shows: Go Girls, The Secret Life Of Us, Blue Rose, Home And Away,Outrageous Fortune, Shortland Street, and Go Big. Her song, "This is Australia" won Tourism Australia's Song Competition and was featured in a worldwide promotional campaign.
At once, heartfelt and sophisticated, Jackie Bristow combines subtle and beautiful melodies with hooks that hypnotise her audiences the world over - inspire complete surrender and promise to stick around with the backbone of a real friend.
Jackies third album, FREEDOM, features her "soulful voice, acoustic guitar with pop … and folk sensibilities": Desert Highway Magazine.
A star performer Jackie Bristow confidently steps onto the world class stage.
