Event Details

The Denver Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated is pleased to announce its 30th Annual Beautillion. Open to the public, this formal gala takes place Sunday, December 22, 2013, at the Sheraton Downtown Denver. This year, to commemorate the 30th anniversary, 29 African-American high school seniors from the Denver metro area will be celebrated for their outstanding achievements in leadership, academics, athletics, and community service. The event will capture the essence of the theme, "A Brotherhood of Beaus," as Beau Alumni from the past 30 years will work to mentor and engage with this year’s honorees throughout the fall season. The event emcees are Dr. Ryan Ross, Dean of Student Development at Community College of Denver (a Beau in 1999); and Kyle Speller, Announcer for the Denver Nuggets. Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Denver Chapter

A non-profit organization, Jack & Jill of America, Inc. was founded in 1938 by Marion Stubbs Thomas and a group of concerned mothers who wanted to provide new outlets for the social and cultural stimulation and development of their children. Today, Jack & Jill has hundreds of chapters throughout the country that work hard to ensure that children receive the nurturing support to succeed and develop to their fullest potential.

The Denver Chapter was formed in 1955, and over the years, has made significant contributions to the lives and futures of the children who have benefited from the work of the organization. Members attend monthly membership meetings; schedule and implement programming of educational, cultural, civic, social and recreational activities for its members’ children of various age groups.  The chapter also sponsors community service projects that have a positive impact; and annually recognize outstanding African American young men through the Beautillion.
