IxDA Cincinnati and Kaleidoscope Present "Serious Play"
Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (EST)
San Francisco, California
London, United Kingdom
Our February event is sure to be a fun one - join IxDA Cincinnati and Kaleidoscope as Giacomo Ciminello and Chris Hammond present "Serious Play." As we grow older, the term “play” loses its credibility as a viable action, separating itself as the yang to “work.” But the opposite of play is not work. It’s depression. Learn how to use play, while you work, to find answers you may not have even had the foresight to ask the question to.
We hope you can join us for this free event. Light refreshments will be provided by Kaleidoscope.
About Our Presenters
Giacomo Ciminello is a designer, urban activist, bowler. Hailing from the city of Brotherly Love, Giacomo has been tinkering in user experience since 1999. He looks to empower both Users and Designers alike through the use of play, by removing the common rules of adulthood thus allowing people to tap into their creative side without them even knowing it.
Chris Hammond is passionate about the opportunity space between research and design. He came from a family of engineers, but somehow found the beauty of design. After ten years of corporate life, he joined Kaleidoscope’s design team in NY. He aims to lead research and insight teams with courage, integrity and empathy.
