Founded in 1976, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning is dedicated to nurturing, supporting, and strengthening family life through quality child, youth, and family development programs. The Center serves Chicago families and facilitates community advocacy on child and family issues.
The Center is named in memory of the four children who were tragically killed in the 1963 Birmingham church bombing. Today, the Center serves more than 700 children, ages 6 weeks to 18 years, and their families daily through high quality, comprehensive curricula, operated out of three sites located in Chicago's west side.
Current programs include center-based and home-based child development programs for children from birth to five years of age; school age and youth programming for children and teens through age 18; comprehensive family case management and social service support; adult education and community training; and embedded program enhancements including a dual language initiative, music education, family literacy, family health education, and a formalized volunteer program. The Carole Robertson Center has shared its model both locally and nationally.

Lisa Diomede (@ldiomede) is the founder of Plum Ideas, a new media, marketing and public relations firm. At Plum Ideas, Lisa helps companies enter into genuine, transparent conversations with their audiences, using whatever channels and approaches resonate best. Over the past 20 years, Lisa has worked with a wide range of B2C, B2B and non-profit clients and developed communications strategies and content for every type of traditional and new media. Working in healthcare, publishing, education, technology and entertainment industries has taught her one thing — it doesn’t matter how well you understand a product or service if you don’t understand the person you’re trying to engage.
An actor and lawyer, Sean McGinnis (@seanmcginnis) has been working in digital marketing since early 1999 and has expertise in search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, pay-per-click (PPC), social media and a variety of other digital disciplines.
He has served as the general manager for an online learning business in the legal field, led a team of search experts, and currently leads digital marketing for Sears PartsDirect.
He frequently writes, speaks, and teaches classes on a variety of digital marketing disciplines including SEO, content marketing, and social media. He recently joined the faculty of Elmhurst College as an adjunct professor, where he will be teaching a social media class to MBA students.
Mark J. Carter (@mjcarter) is the Founder of ONE80, LLC and Networking For A Cause. ONE80’s mission is bringing conversations and storytelling back to the business world… Through mentoring (programs, events and marketing). Carter’s passion project is demystifying mentoring by working with & learning from renowned experts and sharing their stories online and on stage at events & conferences.
ONE80′s highlights include: Running the book launch and tour for former CSO of Yahoo! and NY Times Bestselling Author Tim Sanders for “Today We Are Rich”, the social media campaign for Bestselling author Mark Sanborn’s launch of “Up, Down or Sideways”, events for the launch of Lou Imbriano’s (the former Chief Marketing Officer of the New England Patriots) book “Winning The Customer” to working with Richard Saul Wurman (Founder of the TED Conferences) on 2012’s “The WWW Conference” from the planning stages through handling over 50 of the world class presenters.
