Mel Prest

6 Sessions >> Saturdays, October 1–November 5
10am–3pm, Studio 117, $440

This course utilizes repetitive, conceptual and binary thinking to develop abstract drawings and paintings. Through a series of assignments, experiments, patterns and processes, participants will learn new approaches to seeing and making visual works. Each morning a new theme is introduced and demonstrated. Lunchtime (bring your own) is taken together watching videos, meeting a guest artist and discussing ideas. The afternoon is spent working on personal projects/ paintings based on the morning’s explorations. Formal painting and drawing techniques are also demonstrated.
