Idlewild's language courses are fun and practical, and were recently featured in the "Best of New York 2012" issue of New York Magazine.
The classes are taught in our beautiful store in Brooklyn, not a stuffy classroom, by dynamic and experienced native speakers. Class size is limited to 14, so everyone gets a chance to speak in every session.
This class will be taught by Claudia Galeffi, a native of Italy with several years’ teaching experience in New York.
Is this class for you?
Our Italian Intermediate course is designed for people who are already familiar with the basics of Italian grammar and are fairly conversant in the present, simple past, and simple future tenses. Basic grammar is reviewed as needed, and more advanced grammar is presented, but the second half of each lesson is dedicated to conversation practice. Each student will also be expected to give at least one five-minute presentation, on a topic of their choosing, before the end of the ten-week course.
